COUNTRY RISK ANALYSIS
Country Risk Analysis
Multinational companies and businesses have their operations and investments spread across several nations. The nature of such investments warrants analysis because of the variation in the business environments in each country. Because every business intends to make a profit, analysis of the risks involved is critical for making informed decisions. And this is particularly important for cross-border investments, where the political, economic and geographical environments may be beyond the investors' ability to control. This writeup discusses the concept off country risk analysis. It is an attempt to define it as well as present a case for why it is critical to the success of international projects. A country risk analysis will be conducted for Kenya as well, where the author intends to present four possible risk areas for Kenya, together with outlining recommended risk management practices to be applied.
