The Curzon family is an aristocratic family that can be traced back to William the Conqueror. There are numerous noble titles under the house of Curzon and they include Curzon of Kedleston in Nova Scotia (1636); Curzon of Kedleston in England (1641); Barons Scarsdale of Scarsdale in Great Britain (1761); Barons Scarsdale of Ireland (1998-25); Viscounts Scarsdale of UK (1911); Earl Curzon of UK (1911-25); Baron Ravensdale in UK (1911-25); and Marquess Curzon of UK (1921-25). In Derbyshire, the family also held a family title heading Manor of Curzon. The house of Curzon also held titles like Sir Curzon Nathaniel and Curzon Baronets; Viscounts Scarsdale including Curzon Ghislain Nathaniel and Curzon Richard Nathaniel); and Marquesses Curzon (Curzon George Nathaniel).  Gh uj,
Names and Titles
The Curzon family seat has had influence since 1297. The commissioning of the present house was done in 1759 by Nathaniel Curzon followed by Robert Adam’s designing. George Nathaniel Curzon is Kedleston’s first Marquess Curzon, the first son of the fourth Baron Scarsdale. The second Baroness Ravensdale was Irene Mary Curzon (1896–1966). The third Baron Ravensdale (b. 1923), was Sir Nicholas Mosley, born to George Curzon’s daughter, Cynthia Blanche Mosley (1898-1933) (Holden 46). The first Earl Howe included Curzon-Howe Richard William (1796–1870); Curzon-Howe George Frederick (1821–76). The third Earl Howe going forward included the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh Earl Howe as Curzon-Howe Richard William (1822–1900), Curzon Richard George (1861–1929), Curzon Francis Penn (1884–1964), Curzon Richard Assheton (1908–84and Curzon Frederick Richard (b. 1951), in that order (HouseofNames 2020).
