For this assignment you will create an example budget that will include the nine security fundamentals. Make sure to provide a complete breakdown of your budget for each fundamental. Your yearly budget cap is $100,000. Again, as an individual in a management or leadership position you will need to consider what are the most cost-effective physical security measures that will provide the highest amount of deterrence. You do not want to sacrifice security of your company and personnel so you will need to consider all options within a management position. This is a reflective assignment which requires you to implement week five reading requirements.
Technical Requirements
Your paper must be at a minimum of 2-3 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit).
Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 scholarly sources per page of content.
Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space.
Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework.
Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.

A physical security budget is very important for security planning and implementation in a company. This paper explores the creation of a physical security budget in consideration of the fundamentals of physical security. The paper outlines the onion security model and the available security layers. The study discusses the components of a physical security budget and the cost breakdown for each fundamental. Some of the fundamental elements of physical security that are discussed in this paper include perimeter security, doors and windows, access control, alarm systems, CCTVs, lighting, safes, integration system, and manned security. The study constructs the security budget within the limits of $100,000 per year. The study also includes a thesis statement that seeks to determine the factors that affect the effectiveness of security planning and implementation in the security industry. The thesis seeks to study the impact of the physical security budget, physical security model, and fundamentals of physical security on security planning.
