More often, when men are exposed to stress, they tend to be more susceptible compared to women. Aside to this, there are other determinants of men’s health. these are; biology and genetics, social economic status, occupational status, unemployment, psychophysiology, men’s knowledge about health as well as common views about the machismo just to mention a few (Courtenay 2003).
Biology and genetics are responsible for resulting in a number of sex-specific complications that will lead to personal stress in the individual man who is affected. Men are mostly associated with risk occupations that pose to the health hazard such as occupational injuries (Courtenay 2003).
