Leadership has been a popular concept for ages as many societies of the tenth century regarded people with influence, such as presidents, as leaders. Today, the concept has evolved significantly giving rise to new management strategies, such as transactional and transformational leadership (Griffin, Phillips, & Gully, 2019). Although the two approaches are effective ways of running an organization and have common goals, transactional leadership focuses on achieving a smooth flow of operations through rewards and punishments and best fits middle-level management, particularly in the service and manufacturing sectors, while its transformational equivalent uses visionary goals and rewards to accomplish the desired change and is most suitable for the organizations in rapidly changing industries.
