Introduction
Currently, an International Law firm manages offices in the following locations; (Headquarters) located in the U.S, New York and Palo Alto, CA, England (London), Russia (Moscow), Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar), China (Hong Kong), and Japan (Tokyo). Every location is set up with a star network topology that networks 40 PCs, except the Headquarters, Palo Alto that has 50 PCs. Its New York’s offices are situated on the 20th floor of a high rise building, whereas the rest of the locations have offices located in buildings that offer commercial office spaces that share walls with other businesses. However, every location is provided with a closet space to house the equipment of networking. Additionally, every location has an IT support that manages the local users locally with the reproduction of documents showing changes in active directory in the organization after every 20 minutes (Sidagni, 2014). The paper presents an evaluation of the law firm’s current risks and mitigation methods and technologies recommended for risk mitigation in the institution.
