Analysis of Heart Disease among Children and Adults
According to the research studies done by various organizations, general health data that is available in various databases show a great disparity in the rate at which heart disease affects children and adults. Such disparities are caused by among other factors, the response to prevention and treatment aspects. In addition, heart disease has been found to be one of the most common cardio-related ailments. This section seeks to evaluate various general health data by referring to data on several health data based on age groups, such as infancy and childhood, adults and elders.
According to U.S EPA’s color index, there is a rise in the number of people who are unhealthy. In addition, most of these unhealthy people have heart-related problems. Groups consisting of 201-300 are considered very unhealthy thereby raising questions on the health status of such individuals.
One of the diseases that are reviewed in this paper is the chronic heart disease. Based on a report done by CDC, a significant number of Black Americans suffer from chronic heart diseases. In fact, the number is projected to rise in the next ten years up to the year 2050.
Based on the report, the epidermal characteristics shown in the older people exhibited more effects of heart diseases than in children and adults. Admittedly, the group that suffered most from the heart related problems included the young and the elderly. Adults were found to have very few health problems as compared to children. The general health among adults was generally better compared to the children and the elderly. A report done by Administration of Aging (AoA) shows that a good number of aged individuals are experiencing high mortality rate caused by heart diseases and related ailments (Freedman Et al., p.12)
A specific health problem that needs to be analyzed in order to get into the depth of heart related problems is the hypertension problem. Currently, hypertension is a major problem among many individuals who are above the age of 60. Reports show that a good number of Black-Americans are experiencing high blood pressure more than any other individual in the United States. Besides, the rise in the number of individuals suffering from high blood pressure has been fuelled by people living sedentary lifestyles that lead to accumulation of fats in the body hence blocking their arteries and blood vessels. Due to high mortality rate and the rise in the number of sudden deaths that come as a result of hypertension, individuals need to ensure they change their lifestyles. The rising rate of deaths from heart related diseases has necessitated the need for more problem solving strategies(Thom Et al., p.e85)
