Abstract
Goods and services worldwide have been affected by the pandemic that has affected all sectors of businesses. The industries in the world have faced major lockdowns and restrictions of movements that have witnessed them making losses in the industries. The supermarket sector has suffered from pressure mounting in restricting goods and services export and importation to reduce the spread of covid 19. The Tesco plc and Sainsbury supermarkets in the UK are the two main stores affected by the pandemic. Several stores that the two supermarkets were running were forced to close for some time. Supermarkets are the major retailer shops that people depend upon to get fresh vegetables, fruits, and foodstuffs safe for human consumption. The chain stores have more customers than other stores due to their perfect customer service. The supply chain, distribution of the goods and services to the supermarkets have also been affected by the pandemic. To analyze the challenges faced by the supermarkets and the issues they are likely to experience will focus on the component principles. Corporate social responsibility focuses on business ethics, sustainability, and social businesses. Safety is the main problem supermarkets in the UK will face during and after the pandemic, as demonstrated by Tesco plc. The staff members and customers of the supermarket will be required to follow the health guidelines issued for their safety purposes. Strategy is the science of planning and directing operations as described by webster's new dictionary. Remote working is the main way of creating a safe environment for the public. Still, it is difficult for supermarkets to operate from home—critical analysis of the above-chosen topic help in solving the problem identified in part A to some extent. Entrepreneurship and business ethics govern the behavior, standards, levels of ethical analysis.

The business world has faced major lockdowns and restrictions of movements that have witnessed them making losses in the industries (Kumar et al., 1283). Factories and firms have been shut down because of high operational costs; employees have been laid off while some have given resting days without payments. The supermarket sector has suffered from pressure mounting in restricting goods and services export and importation to reduce the spread of covid 19. Consumer engagements, mode of delivery of goods and services have been affected. Supermarkets' challenges and issues are covered within marketing, strategy, operations management, and corporate social responsibility.
The Tesco plc and Sainsbury supermarkets in the UK are the two main stores affected by the pandemic. Several stores run by the two supermarkets were forced to close for some time (Xiao et al., 109). That affected their business income; they lost their customers and were forced to change their operations. Necessary skills and knowledge were designed to help the companies plan effectively and help solve the challenges and issues. The supermarkets will use decision-making for sustainable management to address the challenges and issues they are facing. Critical analysis is a vital tool that the supermarkets will use to ensure they are not hit hard by the pandemic and can sustain their stores (Sharma et al., 162). To ensure a continuous supply of goods and services to the consumers and adhering to the health protocols for safety purposes. They can use the relationship between marketing, strategy, operations management, and corporate social responsibility with the necessary skills and knowledge to address the challenges and issues facing supermarkets.
