Introduction
Women, especially those in their reproductive periods, are normally faced by certain disorders that, when not controlled, may result in adverse effects on the health of these women. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome,PCOS, is a good example of such disorders, which is regarded as an endocrine disorder affecting women in their reproductive years. The research paper aimed at finding the causes and effects of the PCPOS in women (Azziz et al.).The disease is interfering with both physical and mental health of the victims, and early medication is very important to ensure the adverse effects of the infection are mitigated as soon as it is detected. By definition, the disease is regarded as hyperandrogenism affecting the ovulation process in women without any underlying cause of other diseases. The disease has also been reported to be causing serious effect in women through reducing life quality, reducing sexual satisfaction, and increasing levels of stress, which in turn results to increased chances of acquiring chronic diseases The PCOS is subjecting the victims to mental, physical, and metallic manifestations that negatively impact on their health. The disease was analyzed by collecting relevant data from secondary sources on its causes and effects on human health, and the data was analyzed to find the various possible prevention strategies.
